Chris and I are celebrating five years together by heading to New York City for the weekend. Check out three of my packing essentials for a weekend in NYC.
1. Updated Trench Coat
With temperatures in the 40s, March is the perfect trench coat weather. I picked up this trench with synched waist and oversized lapel from Club Monaco (and now it is on sale!). Find it here in Navy, Khaki Stone, and Pomegranate.
Everyone in the world should have a trench coat, and there should be a trench coat for everyone in the world. It does not matter your age; it doesn’t matter your gender. – Angela Ahrendts
2. Sturdy Knee-High Boots
Cobblestone streets, subway stations, puddles in Central Park. All of this calls for some sturdy knee-high boots. These Cole Haan boots are my go-to for wet winter months. Mine are no longer available, but you can find similar ones here.
3. Cozy Cashmere Scarf
What is more classic than a check scarf? This luscious cashmere one has been a staple of my winter wardrobe since my early college days. Splurge for the classic Burberry here or find similar ones for a steal here and here.
That’s it! You’ve got my packing list essentials. Chris says this doesn’t cover the half of it (he is right but I’ll save the rest of my suitcase for a future post!)
See you in NYC when we visit Site 187 – Statue of Liberty (USA)!
